Carbon Pencil seems a natural for you. I like the fact that it doesn't smear like charcoal. But I have some trouble with its "drag." Doesn't glide like graphite. But that is, after all, the nature of the material.
Nice blended shading on the mushroom cap.
Would like to see more carbonized drawings from you.
