This is graphite and water color. The pencil tightens things up more than the bolder carbon pencil. I used to do a careful drawing and then outline it with the finest Ko-ihnoor drafting pen, a .00 I think, in sepia. Then erase the pencil and paint within the lines. That was a full blown attempt at realism. I'll post one as a contrast.

ReplyDeletelayers seem to add depth. very realistic, from a realism standpoint. the lighting seems very warm.
