after several attempts at creating a logo that commuicated that the KYC is a Christian ministry, but that it's intended for urban youth....these are my offerings. We'll see what the final is. There are a lot of things to consider in logo design. Does it communicate the idea? It is simple enough to recognize? Can it be printed, re-printed, embroidered easily? that kind of stuff. (The green logo isn't quite right because the black between the e and r is not fully colored in)

I like the green one--"red lights all turning green" and all. Plus the cross stands out a lot better, more than the red one--brown being a form of red. And I like the "two boards" effect for a cross. Especially in a neighborhood that may have some boarding up, or instead, the idea of building a better life and stuff. And I prefer the cross with the flat bottom, the angled one looking a bit like Pisa.
ReplyDeleteChris likes the red lettering better. But in green she said. I'd like to see that. And I'd like to see a third--with an even more gritty font. Just for comparison.
I think these are super! Along with the idea--both ideas, the logo and the outreach! Prayers attend.
the "kenosha youth" font on the green one is great, keep it. Otherwise, the rest of the comments have my concurrence. the red logo lettering looks kind of like the japanese lettering where they use a big fat brush with black ink . . . maybe you could try exactly that?
